Back Story.
Okay so I didn’t know from an early age that I wanted to work within product marketing (PM).
Heck, I didn’t even know I had an interest in marketing and especially not within a field like PM,
which by the way didn’t even exist at that time.
My life before PM started academically as an architect and it quickly transitioned into
a BS in Industrial Engineering. Shortly after college I then pursued my entrepreneurial
drive and dove head first in being a marketing agent targeting B2C . This was the start of
many PM core understandings and played a key role in my thought process when thinking
about connecting products with buyers through powerful stories, especially when appealing
to buyer emotions. After that, working my way into the PM industry was a path I created for
myself based on one question which I still ask myself today:
Why do people need that?
This was the one question that started the passion I call my career.
At every professional turn during my journey, one thing has been evident and remains constant.
The battle for mind space between the right and left side of my brain. I have an insatiable need
to use both sides of my brain - leveraging visual and analytical skills to enable an organic
connection between people and solutions by understanding what motivates their buying
decisions. And once i figured that part out about myself, VOILA!
A Product Marketing advocate was born.
